Laser Genesis

Laser Genesis is a cosmetic modality that employs non-invasive laser technology to enhance skin aesthetics by inducing collagen production, decreasing redness and fine lines, and refining skin texture.

• Do not wear makeup on the day of treatment.
• Excess hair may need to be shaved. Men should be cleanly shaved.
• No sun-tanning or self-tanners 2 weeks prior to treatment.
• Please inform us of any tattoos or permanent makeup in the treatment area. We want to be sure to avoid treating near any ink as the laser may disturb or discolor the area.
• Your provider can help guide you on your specific products and make recommendations on what to avoid, but as a general rule active ingredients such as acids (glycolic, salicylic, etc.), retinol products(Rx or over the counter) or topical prescriptions such as antibiotic or steroid creams should be avoided 7 days prior to your appointment. In addition, avoid treatments that may irritate the skin for 1-2 weeks prior such as waxing or depilatories.
• History of herpes or cold sores may require an anti-viral prescription 2 days prior and post to your treatment
• If you are currently taking or have taken Isotretinoin or any Accutane type medications, we ask that you wait at least 6 months before pursuing any aesthetic procedures.
• If you have received dermal filler treatments or Botox injections, wait 2 weeks before having any laser treatment.
• Although this treatment is not targeted for hair removal, please be advised that hair removal/reduction on rare occasions may occur as a result of these treatments.

• Mild redness or skin irritation may be experienced after a Laser Genesis procedure, but this will fade over the first couple of hours, leaving you with a vibrant healthy glow. No downtime is required after a Laser Genesis treatment; you will be able to immediately return to normal activities.
• The main precaution is to protect your skin in the treated area from UV rays.
• Avoid sun exposure and use a broad spectrum (UVA/UVB) sunscreen to prevent further sun damage.
• Avoid skin irritants a few days post-treatment such as products containing tretinoin, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, glycolic/salicylic acids, astringents, waxing or depilatories, etc.
• Multiple treatments are required to see optimal results.
